Book Eight in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series
J.R. Ward has captivated many readers with her paranormal series, The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Lover Mine is the eighth installment in the series about vampire warrior that are trying to stay alive. The Brotherhood protects civilian vampires and humans from Lessers, a group of changed humans under the direction of a devil like leader, try to wipe out the vampires completely, and have no care for anyone that might help them along the way. There are so many other details that make this world created by Ward unique and enthralling, but if you enjoy paranormal romance or urban fantasy, you will enjoy reading this series from the start to fill in the holes. I do not recommend reading this series out of order; there are subplots that lay the groundwork for future events that you would never otherwise know.
