Outside In by Maria Snyder is the sequel to Inside Out, and answers the often left unasked question, what then? What happens after the oppressors are out of power and the people have their freedom? Outside In answers that question and leads readers on another adventure in search for a n equitable society. Just because the initial battle has been fought and won, that does not mean that life will be perfect. In Outside In, there is now unrest on all sides as the Uppers and Scrubs each think the other group takes them for granted and should be working harder. Do not read this book, or review, without having read Inside Out first. It is a great example of dystopian fiction and coming of age story.
