Book Review: Eyes like Stars by Lisa Mantchey

Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchey brings theater to life, literally. The characters from every play ever written are tied to the theater and unable to leave. Then there is seventeen-year-old Beatrice Shakespeare Smith. Bertie is different; she knows all the lines but has no set role to play. She is without parents or any memory of life before the theater. Her spunky and willful actions have triggered her forced exit from the theater, but Bertie will do anything to stay. With the help of comedic fairy sidekicks, protective pirate and some other players Bertie makes her stand to secure her place, and the fate of the theater.
